Alton McRee, President and CEO of American Bank, is a 45-year financial services industry veteran with a track record for driving financial results and high performance. His career has included commercial, agricultural and mortgage lending, SBA and USDA lending, asset management and loan portfolio administration, culminating in executive management leadership positions with several community banks and in the Farm Credit System. Alton is a hands-on leader in the Bank and in the community at large, active in many civic, corporate and trade organizations in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. The Quitman, Mississippi, native played wide receiver for Mississippi State University football team while a student earning his Business Finance and Banking degree. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Alton and his wife of 45 years have two married children and six grandchildren.
